What to say! Guess this is really just typical for me, but I have decided to leave South Africa. I am leaving with a great deal of regret, but sometimes one just knows when it's time to go. If you've been reading this blog for any time, you know that things have been less than ideal at Age-in-Action. Suffice it to say that they finally reached the point where it became clear that staying would not be fun. I'm not at all happy about making the decision nor about the outcome of the decision but believe that, after weeks and weeks of considering my situation, it is time to go. Besides, I miss my grandkids so much I can hardly stand it! I've asked friends to check out the cheap apartment scene in Denver for me and expect to be there by September. I hope to do some traveling in the meantime but we'll see what finances allow. This has caught me by surprise, too!
Well, it is about ten hours later and I am doing much better with the decision. In fact, excitement is creeping in as I wonder what the next couple years will bring. Boy, I do like change and the challenge of starting over!
Oh, yes, when...you may well ask. My final day in country is Aug. 22, but I'm not yet sure when I'll be back in Denver. Hope to find some reasonably priced airline tickets (not likely in the current economic environment, I fear) and check out a couple places on my way home.
You gota do what you gota do....change is good for the soul and forces us to grow....looking forward to seeing you in Denver,
love you much -- one of the twins
